What type of materials do you use?

We use only certified Bluescope Steel products ZINCALUME® & COLORBOND®

We use only bush fire rated Blue Mountain Gutter Mesh TM

We use Buildex class 4 screws as per the Bluescope Steel installation requirement.

How long does a new roof take to be installed?

Depending on the size of your new home we suggest a time frame of 1 – 4 days weather permitting. If you have chosen wall cladding or Blue Mountain Gutter Mesh it may take a couple of more days.

How do I apply for my Bluescope Steel Warranty for my new or newly replaced roof?

We will send you a preliminary warranty that we have prepared that is specific for your property through Bluescope Steel via email.  All you have to do is click on the link and it will take you through to the finished warranty.

What are the warranty conditions and how long is the warranty for?

The warranty conditions and length of the warranty are site specific for every property and vary from one house to the next. There are numerous factors that Bluescope consider and we may ask you some extra information for your warranty to be processed and approved.

Please see the Bluescope Steel website for further information and conditions.

Do I need to have Gutter Mesh installed if my home is in a bush fire rated council zone?

No its not a requirement, but it really is a smart idea to prevent leaf build up for fuelling a fire.

If you are going to install gutter mesh it must be fire proof with a flammable rating of 1 under AS1530.2.

We use only Blue Mountain Gutter Mesh which has the highest rating and comes with its own 12 year guarantee which conforms to Australia Standard As3959-2009.

How long will be roof be exposed during a re-roof?

It depends on the size and complexity of your roof requirements, but we do remove your roof in sections to prevent your whole roof being exposed at once. At the end of each working day your roof will be water tight for the progression of work the next day.

A usual re-roof will take about 1 – 3 days to complete weather permitting of course.

Do I need to leave my home when you are installing a re-roof?

No, you do not need to leave your home, but please note that there will be loud noises and power tools being used so it may be disruptive to your normal daily routine.

There will be designated areas where the old materials are being kept before disposal and the new materials are waiting to be installed. Also there will be a rubbish pile with off cuts etc which we suggest you keep clear of.

So we'll leave the decision up to you.

Do I need to leave my home if you are removing my old asbestos roof and installing a new Colorbond one?

We have to conduct very stringent safety procedures during the removal of your asbestos roof. If you choose to stay home during this procedure, please consider the following suggestions for your safety:

1.  Please stay inside your home during the removal process.

2.  Close all windows, doors and ventilators,

3.  Turn off any air conditioning systems.

So again we'll leave the decision up to you.

Do you remove all the old materials from our home after you have installed our re-roof?

Unless you have asked us previously to leave the old roofing material (except asbestos of course) we absolutely remove all of your old materials and any off cuts caused by the new materials too.
